User Interviews
I read through each of the interview transcripts provided by the course I was taking, and began to notice patterns in the challenges and needs addressed by each participant.
User Personas
Consolidating my forum data and insights from the six interviews, I created personas for the two user types we’ll follow for this project:
Non-registered users – People that have not yet registered to the REI site yet. That means that they cannot add ratings, comments, or write trip reports.
REI users – People that have registered and who have an REI account which allows them to add ratings, trip reports, and save hikes.
Lo Fidelity Sketches
I made a few rough drawings in an effort to brainstorm the look and feel of the project, and start putting ideas and concepts to paper.
We sketch to explore, communicate different ideas, get feedback, ideate, refine and because it’s fast.
